If your machine has hardware that is Windows 11 compatible, we have two options for our customers. You can have a managed service where we upgrade the machines for you (for a small charge), or you can do these yourself.
Option 1: Managed Service Upgrade:
Option 2: Self Service:
Upgrading from Windows 10 to 11 can be done manually by an end user, and we can provide instructions on how to do this yourself.
However, upgrading to Windows 11 may seem straightforward, but managing the process across multiple devices can be time-consuming and disruptive to your business. With our Managed Service Upgrade, we handle everything for you—scheduling with end users, remotely deploying the upgrade, and ensuring each machine is fully operational afterwards. This minimise downtime, reduces the risk of failed installations, and ensures a smooth transition with expert support on hand. By choosing our managed service, your team can stay focused on their work while we take care of the technical process, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free upgrade.
If you do wish to do these upgrades yourself, you can follow these steps below:
Before proceeding with a self-service upgrade, please consider the following:
Check Compatibility – Ensure your PC meets Windows 11 system requirements, including TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
Do you need to back Up Important Files? – While the upgrade process is generally safe, you may wish to consider completing a backup if doing this yourself.
Ensure Sufficient Storage Space – At least 64GB of free disk space is required for a smooth upgrade.
Connect to a Reliable Power Source – Laptops should be plugged in to avoid interruptions during installation.
Use a Stable Internet Connection – A fast and reliable internet connection is recommended to download the update efficiently.
Plan for Downtime – Your PC will be unusable during the upgrade, which can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on the machine.
Update Existing Software & Drivers – Ensure that your applications and drivers are up to date to prevent compatibility issues after the upgrade.
Verify Critical Business Applications – Some older software may not be fully compatible with Windows 11; check with your IT team if unsure.
