Celebrating Six Years of Cyber Essentials Plus Accreditation at Apex!

Written by Apex Computing | Apr 25, 2025 12:36:32 PM

We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully renewed our Cyber Essentials Plus certification for the sixth consecutive year! This prestigious accreditation, which we have proudly held since October 2018, underscores our unwavering commitment to cyber security and best practices.

A Milestone Achievement

Achieving and maintaining the Cyber Essentials Plus certification is no small feat. It is a rigorous, independently verified standard that reflects the robust security measures we have in place to protect our systems, data, and clients. Our journey began in 2018 with the initial Cyber Essentials accreditation, followed by the Cyber Essentials Plus certification in October of the same year. Since then, we have renewed this certification annually, demonstrating our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of cyber security.

A Word From Our Managing Director

Daniel Shone, our Managing Director, expressed his pride in this achievement.

“We are incredibly proud to announce that Apex Computing has successfully renewed our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, a standard we have proudly held since 2018. Maintaining this certification for over six years is a testament to our commitment to cyber essentials and the amazing work our team do. We’ve supported many of our customers in achieving this vital accreditation too, helping them enhance their own security posture and meet compliance requirements. Cyber security is at the core of everything we do – and this ongoing certification demonstrates that we don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk.”

Our Commitment to Cyber Security

To maintain our Cyber Essentials Plus certification and a high level of cyber security at Apex, we have implemented several robust security measures, including:

  • Strong Authentication Methods: We enforce strong password policies and use multi-factor authentication (MFA) to ensure that only authorised personnel can access our systems
  • Regular Security Audits: We conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats
  • Data Encryption: All sensitive data is encrypted both in transit and at rest using advanced encryption standards
  • Access Controls: We implement strict access controls to ensure that only authorised users have access to critical systems and data
  • Employee Training: We provide ongoing cyber security training to our employees (even for our technical experts!) to ensure everyone is aware of the latest threats and best practices
  • Incident Response Plan: We have a comprehensive incident response plan in place to quickly and effectively respond to any security incidents

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of cyber security. We will continue to invest in our security measures and support our clients in their journey towards achieving and maintaining their own accreditations.
