Microsoft Announces Windows 8 at D9 Conference

When Windows 7 was released in 2009, everyone here at Apex Computing was impressed and now Microsoft have announced they are delveloping it’s successor. Windows 8.

Here are a couple of new features that have been confirmed by Microsoft:

  • A new tile based Start menu (like Windows Phone 7)
  • Live tiles, which show you up to date information
  • Easily snap and resize apps
  • Fully optimized touch browsing with Windows Internet Explorer 10
  • Full compatibility with all PC’s made for Windows 7
  • Full compatibility with all ‘Made for Windows 7’ software and accessories

Everyone here at Apex Computing are eagerly awaiting the beta release in September.
